Alau
Bot, website and dashboard for a Discord community, all on one server
- Role
- Everything, solo: bot, website, dashboard and Linux server
- Stack
- TypeScript, Node.js, discord.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Caddy
- Website
- alau-discord.com

The task
Alau is a Kazakhstani Discord server with 8,347 members as of 27 October 2026. I built everything around it: a bot for the community’s everyday life, a public website, a dashboard and the Linux server they all run on.
What I built
- A bot in TypeScript on discord.js: an economy with two currencies and a role shop, private voice rooms, auto-moderation with logs and tickets, events and donations.
- The website alau-discord.com: rules, the shop, events and a live member counter.
- A dashboard for running the community, and one API that the bot, the website and the dashboard all work through.
- The server itself: Linux, every service in Docker behind Caddy, which also handles HTTPS. I ship with one deploy script and keep backups.
- Also for the community: a Minecraft server and a Stardew Valley server.
The hard part
Making the bot, the website and the dashboard one system with a shared database and API, instead of three separate projects.
